Waitrose Foundation- The Waitrose Foundation is a partnership to improve the lives of smallholders and farm workers who grow produce in South Africa. Waitrose, importers, growers and agents each donate a percentage of their profits to a trust that subsequently funds social and community projects for the workers such as the provision of crèches, building classrooms and adult education and training. Foundation projects are decided by the farm worker committees in order to provide what they feel are the most important benefits for their communities. Poupart initiated the Foundation idea with Waitrose and have a nominated directorship on the Foundation Board.
