Breeding Programmes- For the introduction of new varieties of raspberries, blackberries and blueberries BerryWorld has a joint venture called BerryWorld Plus with the Hall Hunter Partnership and Edward Vinson Limited. BerryWorld works in close collaboration with the Edward Vinson Soft Fruit Breeding Limited which was established in 1986 to develop new, superior eating quality strawberry varieties which may then be grown exclusively by BerryWorld Growers both in the UK and overseas. OrchardWorld have an exclusive arrangement with breeders Delbard of France for the new pear variety Gold Ember.

Recycling- for paper, cardboard, plastic and glass is carried out every two weeks.

Organic Produce Marketer- Poupart provide financial support to the national organics promotional campaign, are members of the Soil Association and use the organic concept orchard in Kent as a teaching resource and to transfer knowledge over to conventional farming.

Good Housekeeping Cost and Waste Reducing Initiatives- a series of small changes that when implemented and consistently performed reduce energy expenditure, examples include switching off lights and computers when not in use, ensuring doors are kept closed, use of plastic bins, dual tractor operations and regular maintenance of machines to ensure optimum working capability.

Irrigation and Water Project - The subject of Water is high up the agenda in the Environment pillar. Poupart is in discussions with East Malling Research about the possibility of an irrigation project to promote best practice and reduce water fertilizer and pesticide usage, as well as reduce waster and lower the carbon footprint, enhance yields, improve soil structure and save time.
