BerryWorld is one of the UK's foremost soft fruit marketing companies, supplying berry fruits to the leading UK multiple retailers. The company was formed in 1994 to specialise in soft fruit and is owned by fresh produce distributors Poupart Ltd.
BerryWorld accounts for approximately 20 per cent of soft fruit supplies to UK multiple retailers. The company currently represents growers covering more than 2,500 acres of soft fruit production in the UK and other countries in Europe, North and South America, the Middle East and South Africa. Global sourcing ensures year round supply, and enables us to offer the widest selection of berries and currants.
Annual turnover was £118.9m in 2007, following consistent strong growth since the company was founded. The soft fruit market is one of the fastest growing sectors within fresh produce, and our research shows that consumers are increasingly becoming aware of the many health benefits of eating berries, and their convenience means that they fit in well with today's busy lifestyles.
The company employs over 30 members of staff, most based at our offices in Hertfordshire, with representatives also in Spain and Holland.
